Stuart
Frazer Contracts creates crucial finishing touch for design-led
complex.
Success of exclusive development highlights Importance of
kitchen design.
Stuart Frazer Contracts, the UK’s leading supplier of
SieMatic kitchens, has been instrumental in the successful
completion of Phase 1 of a prestigious Countryside Properties
development in Manchester.
The ‘Radius’ in Prestwich Village combines three
luxurious residential apartment buildings with over 26,200
sq ft retail and leisure space and is due to for completion
in December. The exclusive nature of the development has proven
highly attractive to homebuyers, with all 64 apartments of
blocks A and B being snapped up off plan as early as February
2004.
Featuring highly fashionable, lifestyle-orientated properties,
the success of the project has been driven by an unwavering
focus on high quality design. With distinctive contemporary
architecture created by DTR:UK and opulent interiors from
leading British fashion designer, Ben de Lisi, high quality
kitchen design was essential to ensure the engaging character
of the development was carried through.
“It’s been vital that everyone involved in this
project buys in to what we are trying to achieve,” said
Ann Lever, Sales and Marketing Director at Countryside Properties.
“Stuart Frazer Contracts managed to take on board the
concept behind the development completely and delivered an
elegant finishing touch that sets the scheme off perfectly.
Beautiful design, SieMatic appliances and quality craftsmanship
– their excellent work has definitely had a part to
play in the huge success of this development.”
The kitchens were designed to coordinate with both the internal
and external features of the building whilst taking the lifestyles
of the prospective residents into account. Perfectly round
sinks and drainers reflect the ‘Radius’ quality
of the development whilst a dramatic angular look echoes aspects
of the building’s external architecture.
“The ‘Radius’ concept falls half way between
city centre buzz and suburban retreat,’ said Belinda
Sewell, Stuart Frazer Contracts Director. “With this
in mind, we’ve combined elegant, restrained design principles
and a chic urban feel with a large freezer and full range
of cooking appliances for residents with a more homely lifestyle.”
With Phase 2 and 3 of the development scheduled for completion
between September and November, and all but 34 apartments
now sold, it is predicted that Radius will bring a breath
of fresh air to community life and further stimulate the local
economy. “Radius is providing a new focal point for
Prestwich village and one which sets new standards of architectural
quality,” Ann Lever continued. “Just as importantly,
it will bring new life and vibrancy to the heart of the village
with new retail and leisure uses planned at street level.”
